Sony Pictures Ghostbusters

Sony Pictures – Ghostbusters Movie Campaign

Objective: Support the release of the latest Ghostbusters film with interactive rich-media executions that engage users in playful and memorable ways, driving buzz and trailer views.

Creative Approach: We developed multiple unique ad creatives to bring the Ghostbusters universe to life:

Slimer Slime Wipe-Off – The screen is “slimed” by Slimer, prompting users to physically swipe away the goo and reveal the movie trailer beneath. A fun, tactile interaction that leads to a call-to-action for ticket purchase.

Cinemagraph Posters – Existing poster artwork was brought to life with subtle, looping animations—creating looping GIFs that capture attention through motion while preserving iconic imagery.

Each execution paired whimsy with interaction, engaging fans in unexpected ways that made the campaign stand out.

My Role: I developed these executions from concept through production—translating creative ideas into interactive experiences. I handled the UX design, visual animation, and integration of interactive elements to ensure each creative performed smoothly and delightfully.

Impact: These ads played with surprise and subtle motion to stand out in users’ feeds, encouraging increased engagement and driving curiosity about the movie. The tactile reveal and dynamic posters offered refreshing, playful entry points to the Ghostbusters world.
